There is nothing quite like bringing home a pet for Christmas. Unfortunately, there's a lot of pets here in the Treasure Valley that need good homes. If you have been thinking about getting a cat or a dog, consider adopting one of the "12 Strays of Christmas!"

#1 of 12 Strays of Christmas: Meet Holly! She showed up at the West Valley Humane Society as a stray. She is about 9 weeks old and a husky/border collie mix. She will probably be a medium size dog around 45 lbs full grown.

This is the final stray in the 12 Strays of Christmas from the Canyon County Animal Shelter. She is wrapped in gold and ready for you to take her home!

Good things come in small, red packages! This little guy is full of spunk and just wants to find a family to play with and love him!

This adorable guy just celebrated his first birthday and now he would like to celebrate having a forever home with your family! Virgil is described as an "absolute sweetheart!"

Stray #9's exact breed is not know, but with a face like this, tri-colored paws, raccoon eyes and a personality that doesn't stop, Mitsi is irresistible!

His resume includes working the front desk at the Canyon County Animal Shelter so you know Stray #7 is good with people! Meet Charles....

How can you resist this face? Bean is such a love and needs a home to give him lots of attention and help him get over his shyness.
