With the rain and hail that hit the Treasure Valley this afternoon, it's probably not a big surprise that Ridge to Rivers (who manage the Table Rock Trails) has closed them down for safety.

The weather was calm and even pleasant much of the time on Saturday, but that changed today with rain showers and even hail mixed in as the afternoon went on.

While this precipitation is welcome in the higher elevations for snow, it creates a bad situation for the trails leading up and around Table Rock, so once again, Ridge to Rivers has closed them down until further notice.

Suggestions for alternative outdoor activities from Ridge to Rivers include heading to the gym, Greenbelt, or Bogus Basin.

This is not the first time this season that the trails have been shut down do to weather.
