Stuck Car Hit By Train In Idaho

Thankfully no one was hurt but imagine the fear and adrenaline rushing through your body as you escape from a car stuck on the tracks with a train hurling towards you.

Certainly a moment you'd never forget. Thanks to our friends over at KTVB for reporting the story. This is that moment that crosses all of our minds when we cross train tracks from time to time and you think to yourself, "made it!" But imagine... You're in your car, it gets stuck on the tracks, there's a train coming and you can't think of anything except to get out and watch your car get destroyed. Now, for you, you know you're in the clear cause you're out of the car and you have insurance but imagine being the conductor of the train and just knowing you're about to smash into a car and there is nothing you can do about it. You don't know if anyone is in it, you just know that you will inevitably smash into a car. And because you're in a TRAIN, you can see this impending doom from a quarter of a mile away and know there is nothing you can do!

Again, thankfully no one was hurt but man what a crazy experience for the woman who's car was blasted on the train tracks. She'll be telling that story for a lifetime. This happened right here in Idaho, Weiser to be specific. Chief Deputy Cody Strong at the Washington County Sheriff's Office noted that if you ever find yourself in a similar situation and time allows for it, "call 911 or the railroad 1-800 number posted at the crossing as soon as they can".
