The Pacific Northwest is known for being good Football/Soccer territory. And the Treasure Valley is home to so many talented youth soccer players waiting to get their chance at the Major Leagues. This Summer the Portland Timbers Organization is coming to Boise.

The Idaho Youth Soccer Association broke the news last week that the Portland Timbers 2 (T2) team will make a trip to Meridian this Summer. Taking on the Swope Park Rangers, a development team with Sporting Kansas City FC the exhibition will take place Saturday June 4th at Rocky Mountain High School 7pm.

"With Idaho being an important part of the Timbers Homegrown territory, playing this T2 game in Boise is a great opportunity for the club to further develop and broaden its partnerships in the state and to showcase the Timbers brand to an ever-increasing, regional fan base," - Gavin Wilkinson GM of Portland Timbers , Idaho Statesman

Not only will you be seeing world class soccer in our own back yard, a percentage of the proceeds will go directly back to the Idaho Youth Soccer Association. Tickets are $20 and go on sale April 1st.
