‘Out of the Darkness’ Walk In Meridian This Weekend
No one wants to talk about suicide but if we don't talk about it the numbers are going to continue to rise, it's time that we do something about this. This weekend you have the opportunity to join hundreds of people for the Treasure Valley Area Walk. It's taking place on Saturday starting around 8:30 a.m. at Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park in Meridian, adjacent to The Village at Eagle and Fairview.
The walk is family and pet friendly! Online registration closes at noon on Friday (October 12th) but you can still register on the day of the walk.
When you do the 'Out of the Darkness' walks it's all about raising awareness and funds that allow the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention to invest in new research and programs. They are big on creating educational programs and supporting survivors of suicide loss.
All money raised here in the Treasure Valley will fund groundbreaking research at the national level and provide training and education prevention in communities right here in Idaho. If you're looking for more information contact Jeff Weeks at Suicide_PreventionID@yahoo.com
