My Biggest Cutthroat and First Time Fly Fishing in Nevada

This was a lake on my list, and I was able to land some nice fish this last weekend.

Some people are always so shocked that there is some decent fly fishing in Nevada, but there is ! Reno is right there in the Tahoe area and has some interesting geography. There is the high desert, the mountains and the river right through town as well as lakes in the surrounding area.

This was a lake about 45 minutes outside of Reno, it has some great history and big fish. I wasn't there ten minutes and landed a good size fish! I think my grandma had something to do with it though.

It was an experience that left my tired and smiling and totally was worth the drive.
