The One Gift Idaho Parents Hope is NOT On Their Kids’ Wish List
Just when you thought you finally got this silly kids' song out of your head for good, toy maker Wowwee has found a way for your kids to play it for you over and over and over again!
You know the song I'm talking about, right?! Baby Shark...doo doo doo doo doo doo! (Admit, you read the "doos" exactly how they sound in the song.) Pinkfong originally released their Baby Shark dance video on YouTube in 2015, but thanks to a social media challenged powered by the #babysharkchallenge, the song went viral in the United States this past summer. If you've got kids (or adult friends who are really overgrown children like mine) you probably heard the ear worm thousands of times before it's popularity started to fade a few months ago.
Well, I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but IT'S BAAAACK! According to Romper, the same folks that brought last year's fad toy, Fingerlings, are working on a plush version of the adorable sharks from the Pinkfong video that will be released on December 15. Simply squeeze your cuddly Baby, Mommy or Daddy Shark to hear the song that's been enjoyed more than 3.3 billion times! They're also releasing a smaller version of each character as a "stackable singling cube" that's more squared shaped than it's bigger counterpart.
They're available for pre-order through Wowwee's Amazon store now for a whopping $69.99 per 9.5" shark or $39.99 per 3.5" shark cube (but hey, at least they include the batteries.) That's a little too pricey for me to buy them as gag gifts for my adult friends who can't get enough of the silly song, but can you really put a price on your child's smile when they open their new shark friend on Christmas morning?
The sharks are expected to ship starting December 15. Until then, enjoy the Christmas version of Baby Shark because yes...yes, that does exist!
