Missing Parachute Could be in Caldwell and Get You $1,000

A 5-foot, purple and yellow striped parachute carrying video equipment dropped out of the sky somewhere ranging from eastern Oregon to Caldwell to Sun Valley.

A $1,000 reward is being offered to anyone who returns it. It was filled with eclipse-recording equipment valued at $13,000, and disappeared shortly after it took off on Monday morning.

Officials say it’s more likely to be in the Caldwell area than anywhere else.

If found, it will become part of an exhibit at the museum.
