Batters wear helmets to protect their heads, but this pitch hit the cheek instead.  Ouch!

Corpus Christi Hooks Minor League player Delino Deshields Jr. was hit in the face by a 90-mile-per-hour pitch over the weekend and even the Today Show has been talking about it. He says he's "not in that much pain" now?  He's tough!

While we're on the subject of minor league baseball, the Boise Hawks get going in June, with the first game June 13th against Tri City.

The Hawks also say they have a job fair coming up to hire ticket takers, parking lot attendants, concession workers, and more for the upcoming season.  The job fair will be April 29th from 3 to 7pm at Memorial Stadium.

Go Hawks!  Keep those helmets on.
