Boise Hawks Holding Open Tryouts
The Boise Hawks have yet to release their full roster which means there's likely a few spots up for grabs by some local talent.
The Boise Hawks are giving local baseball talent here in the Treasure Valley the opportunity to try out for the team by attending a two-day tryout camp at Memorial Stadium on April 30 and May 1.
According to the Hawk's news release, "the two-day tryout camp will begin at 5:00 PM on Friday, April 30 with player check-in, position player warm-up, batting practice, throwing and defensive drills and measuring 60’ times. Saturday, May 1 is another full day and will begin at 1:00 PM with pitchers beginning warm-up, throwing drills, bullpen sessions and throwing live batting practice. Position players will warm-up and take live batting practice."
As long as you aren't a player with no more than three years of professional experience, then you're welcome to try out! Just be sure to fill out the form at this link if interested. Players trying out must also provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test within 72 hours prior to camp.
The start of the Hawks' 96-game season is less than a couple of months away! Led by former Boise Hawks and Boise State Manager, Gary Van Tol, the Hawks will open with a three-game series on the road against the Ogden Raptors. They'll be back in town on May 26th for their first home game and six-series-stretch with the Grand Junction Rockies.
Season tickets are currently available for purchase with full season and half season options as well as a 15 ticket voucher for $160.
