Meeting “Abbie” the Meridian Mascot

Abbie is a cockatoo bird, her and her owner can be spotted at times around town and it sounds like the Village is a spot she likes to dance at.

Her owner was so cool letting us come and play with his best friend. You could tell they had a bond that can't be replaced.

My look is priceless in the first photo as her hair stood up and I thought for sure my morning partner was getting beaked. After researching I actually found out it means she's calm and resting. I am not sure I don't think she had he hair up for me and started making noises so I freaked and gave her back to her dad.

You may see her dancing while her owner sings at the Village in Meridian.
