Man Arrested After Body Found in Ann Morrison Park
We have an arrest in the case of the shooting and then the subsequent discovery of a body in Ann Morrison Park.
27-year-old Andrew Garcia has been arrested in connection with the death of 43-year-old Roque Arellano.
According to an article on KTVB that details the crime, the shooting was reported Wednesday afternoon and the body was found just after 8 a.m. Thursday morning. Investigators now say that Garcia is a suspect in both situations and that he and another man were fighting in the park. A BB gun and a knife were found in the park, but those weapons were not actually used in the fight.
On top of the homicide, Garcia was found with stolen financial transaction cards. He is now facing charges of second-degree murder, aggravated assault, and grand theft.
