It’s Not Just United, Delta Flew Dogs to the Wrong Destination Too
We've heard about the issues with dogs and wrong destinations on United Airlines, but we've found out that Delta has had a couple mistakes with Idaho dogs as well.
According to our news partner KTVB Newschannel 7, Delta was flying two puppies from their breeder in Richmond, Virginia to two families in Boise. The dogs have since made it to Boise and their new families, but the pathway to get here was far more complicated.
The original plan for the dogs was to fly from Richmond, with stops in Detroit and Minneapolis, then to Boise. Instead, due to a delay, the dogs stayed overnight in Detroit.
The families waiting to pick up their new pets said communication was a challenge, and Delta acknowledged a misrouting situation added to confusion along the way.
