It's really no surprise that the Instant Pot electric pressure cookers were among the top selling items on Amazon Prime Day for the second year in a row.  The deals were so good, that it took all of my will power to not buy a third one.

Maybe you bought your FIRST Instant Pot on Prime Day...and its still in the box...sitting in the corner...because you're afraid of it. I'm not judging. Instant Pot fear is a real thing.  The first day I was planning on using mine to cook up some Taco Ranch Chicken Chili, my cashier at Albertsons just had to tell me a story about another customer who had his wife's pot blow up in his face when he was cooking with it. Great. I went from excited to terrified in less than 15 seconds.

I put on my big girl pants, dove right into the recipe and the chili rocked. I'm so glad that I finally overcame my fears because this thing is a LIFE CHANGER! If you need a little nudge to overcome your fears, mark August 28 on your calendars! The Idaho Press is hosting another "Instant Pot Cooking School" at the Nampa Civic Center similar to the SOLD OUT class they hosted in back in February. During the class, a panel of Instant Pot experts will walk you through how to make delicious, healthy and quick meals in your new Instant Pot!

Because we'll be in the thick of Back-to-School season, the class will be heavily focused on meals that are easy to whip up after you get home from work and the kids get home sports practices.  This time around, they'll even include some make ahead freezer meals recipes that will make things a breeze while cooking with your Instant Pot.

I went to their class in February and even as a seasoned Instant Pot vet, I learned A TON of new and creative ways to cook with mine!  My husband, who was still a bit terrified of the Instant Pot before the class, felt like he had learned enough to try it himself and five months later uses it at least once a week to make us a ton of yogurt! If you love your Instant Pot, this class is a must!

Tickets for are already on sale for $20 General Admission or $30 for VIP tickets that get you reserved seating, a goody bag stuffed with fun kitchen gadgets, a new Instant Pot cook book and access to a pre-class social hour with light appetizers and a chance to meet your instructors. Like I mentioned, the February class sold out quickly so don't wait to buy your tickets! Get them now by clicking HERE.
