I feel like I should have lived in a different time. OK that is a little bit of an overwhelming statement, but it is true. I have always been fascinated with history. And classic movies for me is where it is at. My taste in old movies showing times of an era long gone can be satisfied right here in our beautiful city.To the credit of my parents, I was always taught that our history can be taught through the films of the 20, 30's and 40's. I ate every line of them up. From classic character's like Humphrey Bogart, Buster Keaton, and Clark Gable and of course my favorite Jimmy Stewart. The swag and lyrical delivery of the lines still transport me in to these films.

Boise has a unique niche audience that falls right in line with my tastes of vintage flicks. Boise Classic Movies and The Egyptian Theater downtown offer the best movies from "Cool Hand Luke" and "To Kill A Mockingbird" to recent favorites "Tombstone" and the "Die Hard" movies. It's great how this society gets together and offers discounted movie tickets online for you to just pick up and theater and enjoy a movie at a historical location. BCM offers there audience the choice of which movies to watch. You can vote online for what you want to see pick up your tickets and enjoy. Boo the villain and cheer of the good guys.  If you find yourself looking for things to do while walking around the city, just remember you too can be transported back to a time when "the bee's knees" and "swell" was the lingo of the day.
