Idaho Steelheads Hockey is a Must See

I have been a hockey fan for a long time, and growing up there was one year that we had season tickets as a family to the Seattle Thunderbirds. It was always so much fun watching these guys not only fly down the ice attempting to score goals but also seeing them fight is so intense.

Saturday night I was lucky enough to check out my first game as the Steelheads were hosting the Rapid City Rush. Savannah and I were in section 114 row C seats one and two so just three rows up from the ice and right next to the Steelheads penalty box. They were amazing seats but really there isn't a bad seat inside Century Link Arena.

The first goal of the night was by the Steelheads which was short-handed, just an amazing breakaway goal that was so fun to watch. Another huge highlight was the first fight of the night, a player by the name of Saucerman (who has an awesome beard) dropped the gloves and went back and forth exchanging punches for about 25 seconds. That is such a long time when you're fighting on the ice, at the end of the fight they showed a quick sign of appreciation toward each other like true sportsmen do.

At the end of three period the Steelheads and the Rush were tied up, but the Steelheads scored in the OT winning with the final score of 2-1. The game was so much fun, parking was easy, I can promise I will be going back to check out another game soon!
