Every year, people try their best to create the perfect memory, give the perfect gift, or show their love in one way or another. But what do people really want for Valentine's Day?

Thanks to Wallet Hub, we know just how crazy people went on Valentine's Day last year. According to their study, there was an estimated $23.9 BILLION spent back in 2022. Want a juicier stat than that? Wallet Hub says that men spend more than women do on Valentine's Day at an average of $235 versus $119.

But are men putting the money towards the right gift? What if what women really want has nothing to do with money and everything to do with effort? What about the whole "it's the thought that counts"?
