The Greater Treasure Valley is about to surpass a milestone that has longtime native Idahoans rolling their eyes. According to the U.S. Census Bureau combined with data put together by BoiseDev, the Greater Treasure Valey experienced massive growth that now puts the population around 100,000 people away from a population of 1,000,000... that's right, folks... 1 million.

Are we having mixed feelings about this... or are we "sure"?

There's no doubt that longtime residents are absolutely fed up with the amount of growth taking place in the Treasure Valley.

We hear about it all the time and it's not uncommon to hear locals wish everyone would "go back to where they came from." But, whether we want to accept it or not, the Treasure Valley is growing and will continue to long after we're all gone.

With news of Treasure Valley hovering around 900,000 in population, people are sharing their honest feelings about the soon-to-be "million milestone" on Reddit:

Is density the best thing? Probably not but if it's necessary to hold onto what we love, why not?
