Fun Weekend With Balloons, Boats, and Games
This past Labor Day weekend was amazing. I was still flying high from being able to jump into a hot air balloon for my first time last week, but it got even better when I experienced my first ever Nite Glow at the Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic. The dueling banjos were incredible with the balloons playing along with the music. The vendors and live music made the experience even better.
After Nite Glow on Friday my in-laws came into town from Seattle so we woke up early on Saturday and went back to Ann Morrison Park to see the morning launches of the balloons and it was the perfect start to the day. Seeing all but one balloon make it into the air was so much fun. I felt like a little kid, just in awe of all the amazing balloons taking off.
We then had a mellow rest of the day fixing up some BBQ at home and playing some backyard games where my father in law absolutely demolished any competition that played against him. I wish I could say he was cheating, but he was just unstoppable when we were playing games.
On Sunday, we decided to visit Julia Davis park in Boise for a little paddle-boating, which was a lot of fun. Although if you decide to try them out, remember to bring bread so you can feed the ducks while on the boats.
All in all it was a tremendous weekend spending time with family and some of the tremendous things that Boise has to offer!
