When you've got a giant fryer that can cook up 2,000 pounds of fries in an hour, you've got to break it out whenever you can! That's exactly what Simplot is doing to celebrate National French Fry Day and welcome the Twilight Criterium back to Boise!

They'll be firing up the fryer and handing out FREE french fries with a side of CS Beef Burger Sliders processed in Kuna from 4-7 p.m at JUMP! The high on Friday is close to 100 degrees, so they'll also have beers and beverages for purchase. If you enjoy a cold one and tip the staff working the beer garden you'll be helping out our Treasure Valley neighbors in need because those tips benefit the Idaho Food Bank.

In fact, bring some canned goods with you because the event's goal is to provide as many meals for Idahoans in need as possible! They'll also be selling their exclusive #Frydaho t-shirts for a $15 donation to the the Idaho Food Bank. Last year the event provided 46,600 meals to hungry Idahoans.

The event is part of the Twilight Trifecta, which aims to combine community, cycling and french fries! Other events at JUMP that evening include a chance to walk autograph alley and get Twilight Trifecta posters autographed by some of the pros in town for the Twilight Criterium the following day. It's also where they'll hand out the awards for the 28 kilometer Chrono Kristin Armstrong Race happening in Elmore County earlier in the day.

Boise Rock School will be performing through out the evening in the outdoor amphitheater.
