You know it's real when Disneyland shuts its doors. Disneyland has closed and will remain that way through the end of the month.

It's incredible, when you think about it... How much has changed so quickly with this whole Coronavirus thing. A couple of weeks ago it was just something that was effecting people on the other side of the world, there were memes that had jokes about Corona beer, we even told a story on the air about how Corona had taken a bit of a hit because of this whole thing, and now, it's all anyone's talking about, and it's starting to effect the daily life of a lot of people.

In some states, schools are closed for up to six weeks with parents trying to figure out a plan for day care, for how to feed their kids lunch. Sporting events, concerts, mass gatherings have all been cancelled. It's pretty wild when you think about it.

As of today (3/13/2020), there have still been zero cases of Coronavirus here in the state of Idaho, in fact, I believe we're one of only four states that have that distinction at this point.

In Anaheim, California and in Orlando, Florida, however, both Disneyland and Disneyworld will be closed until the end of the month. The last time this happened was the day after 9/11. The Northridge Quake in 1994 closed the park as when President John F. Kennedy was shot back in 1963.

This will definitely be the first time the parks will close for this long. I did read that Disney would be paying their cast members during their time off for this, which I really admire. That company is obviously taking a huge loss being closed for such an extended amount of time so that's pretty cool.
