Get ready for a good ole fashioned demolition! Notice a closure on the Ustick overpass? It'll be like that for well over a year. Here's what's going down (and up)!

Ohhh all the memories on the Ustick bridge that goes over I-84 in Canyon County. Traffic jams, kids punching each other in the back seat, laughing while Moug & Angie Mornings say the most hilarious things on Mix 106. You'll get all this back, but it'll be a while because the Idaho Transportation Department is putting our tax dollars to work! Starting today, the Ustick overpass is closed and they're getting set for a demolition; this will include some time with the freeway being closed as well. That starts this Friday night from 10pm-7am Saturday. But aren't you glad it's closed and they're not just demolishing bridges while you drive under them?

The Idaho Transportation Department's Official Twitter posted: "REMINDER: The Ustick Road Overpass will close on June 1. I-84 will be CLOSED beginning Friday, June 4 at 10 p.m.- 7 a.m. between Karcher/Midland in Nampa and Franklin Rd in Caldwell."

Overall, this project is expected to last until the summer of 2022. So, your routine is going to change for some time, like a year, but when it's all said and done, there will be a new five lane bridge taking you over the freeway with hopefully less traffic jamming and more laughing at the great content Moug and Angie Mornings are putting out over the airwaves on Mix 106. Ok, I'll stop trying to plug our show.
