Culinary Walkabout in Boise Benefits Seniors who Depend on Meals on Wheels
If you love eating good food and giving back to the community, you will want to be at this upcoming event!
The 2017 Culinary Walkabout is May 4, 2017, at Boise Centre (850 W Front St, Boise, ID 83702) from 6:00-9:00 PM.
This year's Culinary Walkabout celebrates 20 years and features a "Star Wars" theme! Event coordinators are encouraging guests to dress for the occasion. Wear your best Storm Trooper, Darth Vader, or Princess Leia costume to add to the fun!
The annual Culinary Walkabout is a fundraiser that mixes delicious food and a culinary competition, all for a great cause. A talented group of local chefs will whip up their most creative cuisine to wow the judges and raise money for Metro Meals on Wheels.
My family absolutely loves watching the cooking competition shows like Master Chef, Master Chef Junior, Top Chef, and Chopped just to name a few. Don't you see some meals that you're like "man, I wish I could jump in that TV and try that one!"? No? Just me?
This is a fun event with a great purpose. Metro Meals on Wheels is so important to over 900 senior citizens in Boise and throughout Ada County who receive these nutritious meals each weekday, and over 700 who depend on them every weekend.
