Celebration Park in Melba can be a fun summer family adventure as it is so rich in history. Although all this week it will be closed to visitors as the park will be working on some upgrade as first reported by KIVI.

Celebration Park is located along the Snake River but will be closed starting Monday, August 12th through Friday, August 16th as the parking lot is being resurfaced.

The park was established as Idaho's only archaeological park in 1989. Which brings lots of visitors to check out the unique archaeology and cultural heritage.

When the park reopens on Saturday there will be a notice still in affect due to high fire danger. Currently all campfires and open burning are prohibited at Celebration Park. Gas grills and gas stoves are still permitted for cooking purposes.
