Maybe running just isn't your thing and you think all runners are crazy. Perhaps.

I read that runners spend about a third of their time complaining about or running through pain, but they keep going.  In Boise we're getting ready for FitOne, and I'm just nutty enough to train for it on a broken toe.  Join me?

I taped that pinky to the toe next to it and I've run about 20 miles since I smashed it on the ottoman on Friday and turned it fat and reddish.  The swelling was worse the next day, and black and blue streaks started down the top of my foot.  BUT...it hurt worse when I walked than when I was running, so I ran.  My lungs and legs and waistline were happy with running, and that little tiny toe seemed outnumbered and out voted by the bigger body parts anyway.

FitOne is coming up September 26th in Downtown Boise, and it benefits St. Luke's Children's Hospital. Those kids can deal with pain, so I can too!

There's still time to get on the 12 Listener's team and pick from the 5K, 10K, or half marathon.  Rates go up August 31st, so sign up soon and join us on the 26th of September.  Our pains should be healed up by then!
