It's alarming to see how many crimes are taking place in the Treasure Valley, with the type of growth going on in our area these things typically happen. But it's leaving citizens asking, what can we do to help stop these things from happening in our own neighborhoods. That's why the Caldwell Police Department is going to help implement more Neighborhood Watch Programs.

If you're interested in starting or becoming more active in your neighborhood the CPD is inviting you to a meeting they are hosting in early May. The event will take place at the Caldwell Police Department on Tuesday, May 7th, 2019 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The meeting is to give you information with the intent to help your neighborhood watch or start a watch program in your neighborhood or subdivision. There are so many 911 calls everyday in the Treasure Valley and sometimes officers are so busy they cannot make it to every call. Hopefully after attending this meeting you will have the tools to help law enforcement when it comes to smaller crimes taking place.

While we cannot stop criminals from breaking the law, we can always make sure we are keeping an eye out for our neighbors and our communities.
