If you have kids and have ever lived in a neighborhood of any sort, you understand how frustrating it can be to see people speeding on your street. It should be obvious for anyone traveling through to take a second and notice the speed limit sign that says 20 mph. People should realize that there are kids in the neighborhood... right?

Not so... "fast"...?

So, I was driving home which is on the southwest side of Boise and I was forced to take a detour. This detour eventually had me driving through a neighborhood near Victory and Five Mile.

While the road certainly feels like it should have a higher speed limit, this particular street is 20 mph. As I was driving along this detour, I noticed a sign from a resident who has had enough of our s***.

Seriously. Whoever is living in this house is sick and tired of people looking at that 20 mph sign and doing what they want anyways. I can't say that I blame them either. This person is a true patriot and is actually onto something here.

Imagine if Ada County or Canyon County decided to allow submissions from citizens for street signs. This person would totally win.

Imagine blunt signs like this existing throughout the Treasure Valley. It certainly caught my attention and I even noticed that cars in front of me were pumping the brakes -- presumably to catch a glimpse of this genius in a southwest Boise neighborhood.

Could we get more of this in the Treasure Valley?
