Boise Is The Place For Footbag

If you were like me growing up "Hacky Sack" was all the rage. Using your feet in crazy ways to kick and balance this sack of a ball up in the air, it was like art. The problem was though I could never do it and it seemed like the popularity of it faded away. In Boise, the trend is back in a big way with Boise Footclan.

This skill was completely lost on me, but for many around the Treasure Valley this has turned in to a profession. Hacky Sack, or Footbag artists showcase there amazing talents of hand eye-coordination, imagination, and lets be honest endurance. If i had to even try to do this I feel like I'd last like 1 minute and call it good. Here is just a sample of what these freestyle footbagers are capable of doing.

Amazing! July 2nd and 3rd  the masses will be converging on the City of Trees for the US Freestyle Footbag Championships. Skill levels from beginner to expert will vie for the title of Best Footbager in the US.

I'm thinking that it may be kind of a cool thing to try and get back in to it. There are meeting all through out Boise to hone your skills or compete against others. The people at FourKast Footbag Company will get you set up in the right direction if you want to get started.
