Boise has previously been named as one of the best places to live if you're someone who appreciates the outdoors, is looking to start a business, wanting to raise a family, or also if you're someone who is trying to sneak around and cheat on your husband or wife.

That's right! Boise has just been exposed as one of the top cities in the nation for infidelity. Ashley Madison, an infamous dating site that caters to cheaters, recently revealed the top 20 cities for those who looking to switch up on their partners, and Boise, Idaho cracks the top 10.

The revelations from the dating app were published in the Journal of Sex Research. Findings were based on the number of sign-ups to the dating service between June 20, 2020, and Sept. 22, 2020, on a per capita basis. Last year, the company saw a spike in the number of sign-ups between what would've been the beginning months of the pandemic, March 1 and April 25, with up to 17,000-plus new users joining in a single day.

It appears that lockdown must have got the best of people and had Boise really steppin' out on their spouses. Out of the list of 20 cities, Boise ranks 7th out of cities with the most users signed up for the site. It's clear an infidelity problem is alive and well in Idaho's capitol city. Here are the top 10 cities Boise ranks among:

  1. Miami, FL
  2. Orlando, FL
  3. Las Vegas, NV
  4. Atlanta, GA
  5. Cincinnati, OH
  6. Minneapolis, MN
  7. Boise, ID
  8. St. Louis, MO
  9. St Paul, MN
  10. Tampa, FL

Ashley Madison’s chief strategy officer, Paul Keable said to Fox News that people sign up for Ashley Madison and use "extramarital affairs" as a “form of self-care” to help them relieve some of the stress and cope through complicated times. For others, cheating is a way to avoid divorce.
