3 People Dead After Shooting and Standoff in Meridian

It should never ever happen this way. Three people are dead after a shooting and standoff in Meridian. 

The tragedy happened about 3 p.m. yesterday near Black Cat Road and Cherry Lane. So far we know that a 39-year-old man came home and got in an argument with a 47-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman. During the argument, the 39-year-old man shot and killed the man and woman with a handgun.

According to KTVB, a13-year-old who was in the home at the time was able to escape and ran to a neighbors home for help while an 11-year-old girl and 10-year-old girl remained inside the home with the suspect.

During a stand-off with police, the 39-year-old man took his own life, while the children were able to escape unharmed.
