I never think of Idaho as a dangerous place, but as more and more crime pops up in the news it got me thinking about where the shady spots are and according to this report the most dangerous place to live is a city right here in the Treasure Valley.

Garden City has been named the "Most Dangerous City in Idaho" according to roadsnacks.net. They say they took data from a recent FBI report, which sounds pretty legit and this is what they found.

Over 14% of residents in Garden City live in poverty and I don't know why poverty and crime seem to coincide. Maybe it's because when financial times are tough it causes to much stress and worry and you have a greater tendency to explode. You also most likely don't have access to mental health resources, such as a therapist.

The safety ranking for Garden City is a 4 out of 10, which obviously isn't very good.

The issue I have with this report is that it doesn't provide any statistics on actual crime rates.

So what are your thoughts?

Do you view Garden City as dangerous?

If you live there, do you like living in Garden City?

What are some of the common misconceptions about Garden City?

Pocatello takes the #2 spot on the list followed by Blackfoot, Idaho coming in at #3.
