12 Days Of ChristMIX Toy Drive: Day 5 Recap

Day 5 has been a bit slow BUT we hit THREE MAJOR milestones in terms of our goals for the 12 Days Of ChristMIX Toy Drive!

We're approaching the half way point in Toy Drive and it's been a lot of fun so far, but we're not done yet! Let's talk about today's haul!

So while it was a little slow overall today, we were lucky to hit three major milestones, which I'll get to, but first let's talk about the toys we're putting in this big 53 foot Giltner Logistics truck. We are now an estimated 3/4 of the done filling this thing, can you believe it? In five days! However, there are TWO trucks on the ground out here... Is it possible that in some strange universe we could fill BOTH of them? Time will tell.

We now have 30 bikes collected, and our goal is 50. That math adds up! I think we just might make that goal! 3/5 of the way there on day 5/12, that looks pretty good if we can keep the momentum we've got going.

Now, as for cash and gift cards... If you remember our original goal, it was $500. We've had to reset a couple of times and the goal is now $5,000 which blows... my... mind! We crossed the $3,000 milestone earlier today and THEN we passed the $4,000 milestone after Rob dropped by with $875 worth of gift cards! I'm still stunned and can't believe it. So yeah, it's cold out here and I miss home, but I don't mind living on site for 12 days while we collect for families in need here in the Treasure Valley, because the kindness I'm feeling is keeping me warm.
