I love me some pizza, there aren't may items that I don't like on a pizza.  Anchovies, Hot peppers and......yeah, that's about it.  I love everything else, the more the better.  But good grief, I don't know what this pizza company was thinking when they came up with the idea of Easter Rabbit Pizza.

I have never eaten rabbit. I know a lot of people who have eaten it and they all say it tastes almost exactly like chicken.  And I don't have anything, per say, against eating rabbit, but Hell Pizza Company http://hellpizza.com/nz/ is doing this as a special Easter Pizza.  That's right, Easter Rabbit Pizza.  It seems almost sacrilegious doesn't it?  And check out their billboard.....it is made of rabbit pelts.

As crazy as this seems, please keep in mind that this Hell Pizza is in New Zealand and they have a huge rabbit problem.  Here is a post from their Facebook page talking about the billboard.

"A note on our billboard. As well as being a delicious meat, and even quite cute, rabbits are unfortunately also a noted pest that is damaging to the New Zealand environment, particularly in the South Island. For those who are concerned, we sourced these rabbit skins via a professional animal tanning company, who in turn sourced them from local meat processing companies where the skins are a regular by-product. Our Rabbit Pizzas are made purely from wild rabbits from Southland and Otago."

That's all fine and dandy but as much as I love pizza, I will be sticking to ham this Easter.  Pigs aren't near as cute as bunny's and I'm sure ham tastes better.....and who ever heard of an Easter Pig?
