23 Surprising Returns Banned at Washington Walmarts

Returns and exchanges aren't always black & white. 

You buy it, you rush home to use it or try it out only to find out it's all kinds of wrong. It's a total bummer, but it happens, right? You'll return it the next time you get a chance.

At least that's what you think 🙄

Days later, you finally make it back to your neighborhood Walmart only to hear the cashier tell you she can't accept a return or grant an exchange for the utterly useless product. Now what?

Sorry, Washington. Walmart's cracking down on what we can & can't return. 

And it kinda sucks. Back in the day, we could return just about anything we bought from Walmart. Vacuum cleaners, apparel, opened makeup, foods that didn't suit your taste—it was practically a free-for-all at customer service.

But a few days ago, I found out those days were over when I was denied the opportunity to return an unopened eye drop guide a Walmart pharmacist had recommended for my little one.

It didn't matter that the packaging was in tact, or that the pharmacist had recommended it. Walmart out-and-out wouldn't accept the return and it didn't qualify for an exchange. Super.

Was I surprised? You betcha. And after Google-checking it like a total Karen in front of, Barbara, the customer service rep, I was in damn-near disbelief.
