While I do have a few personal notes about some of the movies listed below, I did not make this list. newarena took a poll and did some investigative research to come up with the list below, many classics, and some that I have never seen. Do you agree? What would you add to the list?

25. Heat - with Al Pacino and Robert De Niro - Original Release — December 15, 1995

24. Ben-hur - Original Release — January 29, 1960-  The ten-minute action scene took three months to shoot and a full year to plan — and the results are astonishing.

23. The Mummy - Original Release — May 7, 1999 - Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz star with tongue-in-cheek humor and dashing, old school action.

22. Fast and Furious (Franchise) - Original Release — June 22, 2001 The late-Paul Walker, Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson led the series. Which evolved into a massive action movement with movie after movie in the franchise.

21. The Great Escape - Original Release — July 4, 1963 - A war movie where American and British forces are dumped into a Nazi prison, the Allies band together to attempt many escapes including digging massive secret holes underground.

20. Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol - Original Release — December 21, 2011 - For cinematics and shots that will make your legs quiver and stomach drop as Tom Cruise scales the side of skyscrapers.

19. Dirty Harry - Original Release — December 23, 1971 - Clint Eastwood gave us arguably his most recognizable performances.

18. Captain America: The Winter Soldier - Original Release — April 4, 2014 - I figured at least one marvel film had to make the list. Well here it is.

17. The Bourne Supremacy - Original Release — July 23, 2004 - Matt Damon changes Hollywood's perception of him from a boyish actor to a bada$$ in this series.

16. Gladiator - Original Release — May 5, 2000 - I mean obviously.... Russel Crowe and Joaquin Phoenix showed us a whole new side in this battle filled Roman experience.

15. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon - Original Release — January 12, 2001 - From the high-flying fantasy stunts with lightning speed sword work allows the film to play as almost a live-action anime.

14. The Fugitive - Original Release — August 6, 1993 - YES! I used to watch this movie with my dad. Soooo good!

13. Lethal Weapon - Original Release — March 6, 1987 - Danny Glover and Mel Gibson, an unlikely pair ends up being a recipe for action perfection

12. Seven Samurai - Original Release — November 19, 1956 (USA) - Fantastic and focused fight choreography and all the more impressive given that the film was made in 1954.

11. John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum - Original Release — May 17, 2019 - I seriously am missing out by not seeing these. Keanu Reeves as the greatest assassin in the world and getting revenge for killing a puppy. oh yea, totally up my ally.

10. First Blood - Original Releases — October 22, 1982 - Don't get me wrong Stallone slays in the whole series yet this one, is just a little better... fight me if you disagree ;)

9. Aliens - Original Release — July 18, 1986 - Its bloody, and scary because it is aliens, a multitude of angry nasty ones gruffly fighting humans.

8. Predator - Original Release — June 12, 1987 - action/ sci-fi perfection

7. The Raid - Original Release — April 13, 2012 (USA) - This one was very limited release in the US but a huge hit overseas, every action junkie should see this film

6. Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2 - Original Release — October 10, 2003 – April 16, 2004 - I dig that she is such a badas$ killing machine for those that did her wrong, plus that black and yellow jumpsuit is pretty sweet too.

5. Mad Max: Fury Road - Original Release — May 15, 2015 - This one wins when it comes to crafty camera work and screen play computer compilations

4. Terminator 2: Judgment Day - Original Release — July 3, 1991 - According to audiences Arnold Schwarzenegger has never been better than in this sci-fi sequel.

3. Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark - Original Release — June 12, 1981 - Happy to see good ol' Harrison on here twice. You cant think adventure and action without at least one Indiana Jones movie.

2. The Matrix - Original Release — March 31, 1999 - the high flying and graceful eastern kung-fu with the western gunplay of America keeps people talking about the effects and sequences it to this day.

1. Die Hard - Original Releases — July 20, 1988 - As a teen I had a big crush on Bruce so I am pretty happy that this one topped the list. :)
