Three Teens in Custody After Attempted Robbery at Walmart
Three teenagers are in custody after an attempted robbery and burglary at Walmart on Fairview Avenue in Meridian yesterday morning.
Meridian Police say it happened just after 3 a.m.
A 59-year-old victim told officers she was sitting in her car in the store parking lot when two men came up to her car with their faces covered. One of them swung a baseball bat at her car window, shattering it.
The woman said they demanded she give them everything she had, but she was able to drive off quickly to get away.
About 10 minutes after that report, police got a call about an alarm going off at the Ultra Touch Car Wash about two miles away from there.
When they got there, they saw the cash register and several other items missing.
A couple of hours later, an attempted burglary in Canyon County was interrupted by the homeowner.
Items from the previous burglaries were found in their getaway car and all three 17 year old males were arrested.
