A chance to support an amazing local program AND to pick up some amazing plants, all while getting outside and enjoying your Saturday!

If you're reading this, it may be short notice, but something you'll definitely want to get involved in! As we head into the Spring time, we all want to think we have a green thumb. Now is your chance to find out! Ada County 4-H, UI Extension is offering you the chance to pick up some awesome new plants; maybe you'd like to grow some food on your own, or maybe you just need something to replace those old dead shrubs in your yard, this may be the event for you!

This is happening Saturday, May 1st from 9-noon over at the UI Extension, over at Glenwood and Marigold in Boise. Per their Instagram post, "Offerings include houseplants, herbs, vegetables, and berries, flowering perennials, gardening books, and so much more. Cash or check only. Please, no early birds. For more information, call the Master Gardeners at (208) 287-5900."

This sounds like a fantastic opportunity to green up your yard, or freshen up the produce in your house! We've been so interested in growing our own basil, parsley and mint. At this event, we may grab some more complicated vegetables and see if we can stretch our green thumbs a bit further so that we always have some sort of fresh off the vine, branch or whatever you call it - produce to eat or cook with at the ready!
