We've answered to many names since the later half of the 20th century: Starbizzles, Starbeezies, Sbux Lovers (shout-out to T-Swift), soccer moms, basic white girls, etc.

We're Starbucks fanatics.

Whether by drive-thru or lounge, our tired souls are summoned and made new by that ethically sourced jitter juice.

Americanos, blended frappuccino bevvies, the 31-ounce plastic cup with the nitro lid we tote around like a Starbucks Stanley for days at a time—we're here for all of it.

So you can imagine how intense my FOMO was to discover I'd been missing out on free refills all these years from a random TikTok I scrolled across two nights ago.

I, the bastard daughter of the Folgers Coffee Woman and Juan Valdez, was unaware that my favorite caffeine dealer does free refills on brewed beverages at Target, Albertsons, Kroger, Safeway, airports, and other participating stores.

Still reeling from the shock of it, I woke up the next morning and drove to the Eagle Tarbucks. Was it an unnecessary trip with the World Wide Web at my disposal? Yes. Was I partially driven by the yen I had for a tall iced Americano with two extra shots? Also, yes.

Still, hearing it from the barista was easier than getting it from a cold, crude Google search. Sympathetic to my plight, she answered my litany of questions with the grace and patience of a saint. As long as they don't exit the store, patrons are welcome to enjoy as many free brewed bevvies as they can stomach during their Target excursion.

With an iced Americano in my numb right hand and a bag of crap I didn't really need in the other, I walked out of Target humbled yet empowered by the index of knowledge I had acquired.

The nightmare I had been living in was over. I was free.

A wise and unslept woman once said life begins after coffee. I would add it gets so much f@$king better and more affordable when your refills are free.

Whether you're a Starbucks fan or someone who would mainline a coffee drip if they could, sip not in vein, friend. Spread the love and share this tip with a javaphile in your life.
