Rigby, Idaho is small town that sits just outside of Idaho Falls and it is considered to be the official birthplace of television.

I have to admit the outside seems um, unappealing, however the inside is charming, cute, clean and a bit of a surprise, although I don't know what I was expecting.

A lot of businesses are struggling due to effects of the Coronavirus, and the potato industry is no different. Instead of throwing away their crops, one Idaho farm is giving them away.

There's no denying that we love our potatoes in Idaho. We have them everywhere - from our license plates to our New Year's Potato Drop.

Forbes Magazine did a little research and figured out who the richest person is in every state, and in Idaho that person has a background in the potato industry, but also dabbles in fertilizer and and phosphate morning. It's a name you know.

Many of us have probably seen the Idaho Potato Comission's giant traveling potato, either around town, at a BSU game, or maybe even a national tv appearance. Now, you could stay inside it.

Our local potato giant, J.R. Simplot Co. has filed a federal lawsuit against another potato/fry company McCain Foods, claiming they copied their Sidewinder fries.

I know, I know, we work hard to convince friends around the country that we're not just about fields of potatoes in the Treasure Valley.  We are, but it's also important in our state.

Remember that guy I told you about back in February, that was eating nothing but spuds for a year?  Idaho should make this guy its potato-loving poster child. And he's having some major weight loss success!  But it's not all good news.
