As you likely know, the Olympics are kicking into gear today (and we're ready to cheer for our Idaho Olympians).  You can also "Go For The Glazed" at Krispy Kreme in Meridian.

The Summer Olympics kick off in just one week with 9 competitors from the Treasure Valley.  NBC announced the front-runners to carry the United States flag for the opening ceremony. Boise's own Kristin Armstrong is on that list! How cool would that be to see her front and center waving that American flag...

Kristin Armstrong was back in town Saturday night for the 30th annual Twilight Criterium, and the kids that turned out to meet her will also be seeing her on TV next month competing in the Olympic games. A Boise State runner finished in 2nd place in the NCAA cross country championships last fall, but then suffered a knee injury that kept her out of competition in the spring. For the past few days we've been talking about sports we would love to see in the next Olympics. We're not talking about your usual sports. These are outrageous ideas.

Every four years new sports can apply to be in the upcoming Summer Olympic games.  This past Friday was the deadline to apply to be in the upcoming games in Tokyo in 2020.

If Bubble Football was in the Rio Summer Olympics 2016 I would never miss a minute of it! Maybe we can start an amateur league here in town first!
