Today is National Voter Registration Day.  Six million Americans didn't vote in the 2008 election because they missed the registration deadline or didn't know how to register. If you aren't registered to vote by October 14th, you won't be able to participate in early voting, and you'll have to register at the polls on Election Day, which with the long lines, could be a pretty busy time to do that

Every vote does count.  If one more person had voted in the most recent election there would have been clear winners in two Ada County races.  But since those races ended in ties, a coin flip at the courthouse on Monday afternoon will decide who takes office.
