When I first read the headline on the story posted by KBOI, I was shocked that a 13-year old kid could even handle driving an automobile at speeds of 100 miles per hour. The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office tried to pull over an SUV this morning for not stopping at a stop sign. Normally not a huge infraction, but when the driver decided to speed away the situation got a lot more dangerous.

It happened near Athol, with police officers saying the driver of the SUV immediately took off once the police lights were activated hitting speeds near 80 miles per hour. The SUV then went south on Clagstone Road and hit 100 miles per hour.

The driver eventually gave up after a parent of a 15-year-old (who was also in the vehicle) called and told them to pull over. The driver was taken into custody facing felony charges of eluding and reckless driving.
