For most of my life, 40 sounded OLD. I mean, OLD. Even 5 years ago when I turned 29. But now, I officially have LESS than 6 years to go!

34 years old, living in Idaho with my fiancé and our pets. Is this how I pictured 34? Not exactly but I wouldn't change a thing! Back when I was like 16-21 or so I just assumed I'd be married with a kid by 23. That seemed like what everyone else was doing and it seemed like a reasonable age to do that stuff by. Well, here we are 11 years after that and I've postponed my wedding twice and still don't have any kids but I do have a lot to be thankful for.

I have an incredible gig working mornings for Mix 106 here in Boise. A job that I didn't know I'd love as much as I do. I remember when the word "Boise" came up, initially I was like, wait, what? I couldn't even picture what this city looked like. Then I came out for an interview and like everyone else, immediately fell in love; with the weather, with the people and with the job.

And the thing that makes life most enjoyable at this juncture in my life is my wonder fiancé, Stacy. This is a woman who is finishing up her PhD in Psychology, totally has her own career and life dreams and has come along with me on this radio journey from Vegas to San Diego and now Boise. I'm so incredibly lucky and inspired by this woman and while I wasn't married to her at 23 (didn't even meet her till I was 30), she was well worth the wait. The rest of this life stuff is just details and timing. We'll have kids, sooner or later. We'll have the big house and the cool cars hopefully at some point but man, there is no one else I'd rather live day to day with taking on this crazy world.
