See What’s New at the Idaho Potato Drop
The first ever GlowTato will be featured at this weekend's Idaho Potato Drop.
Events start Saturday afternoon and lead up to midnight when that giant, high-tech, internally lit, fake glowing spud will descend. And there's a new heated tent too.
Potato Drop organizers say they are starting the festivities early on the main stage with the Summer Wind Skippers (seen on America’s got talent) at 1p.m., then Wrestle Club professional wrestling at the Borah Grounds Wrestling ring, and live music, plus a Rail Jam, and fireworks.
It all happens Saturday in Downtown Boise at the State Capitol Building, and it's free to get in. If you're feeling special, there's the VIP tent that has a few luxuries, and they're adding a heated family tent with vendors and activities for the kids.
Burgers, pizza, turkey legs, hot dogs, tacos and coffee will be coming out of food trucks and vendor booths, and you know oodles of social media pics will be shooting out of smart phones.
It will be chilly - temps in the teens with no snow - so wear that cool-hat-puffer-coat combo that you got for Christmas and we'll see you there!
