Save Your Relationship With a Netflix Contract
If you're fed up with your sig other watching the next episode of your favorite Netflix series without you, get him to ink his promise to behave. A Netflix contract might save your relationship.
Netflix is offering a fun little contract again that will help you set all of the ground rules for binge-watching. These are the things outlined in the contract that you and your partner can sign and agree to:
-- I won’t fall asleep
-- I won’t get distracted by my phone causing the other person to rewind because I missed something;
-- I won’t continue watching a show without the other person present;
-- I won’t talk whilst the show is on; In the event that I come across a spoiler,
I won’t share it with the other person.
I'm sure you have plenty to add. Like, "I won't discover a great new show and binge-watch five or more seasons without first telling the other person about my fascinating new discovery." A sig other did that once and we're not together anymore, for about a dozen reasons but that was one. One or two episodes maybe, but five seasons without mentioning your entertaining new passion and interest? Streaming can be full of quality time and bonding moments, but it's also one of the reasons for a breakup now.
The new Netflix “co-watching” contract has to be signed by both partners, with Netflix listed as a witness. No word yet if it will hold up in divorce court, but if it saves the relationship, we'll never have to find out.
