A lot of us love visiting the coast of Oregon for vacation or a weekend get away...now you have another reason to take the family to the Oregon Coast....especially if you like the Pirates of the Caribbean Movies.

Make your plans to head to Oregon between now and the end of April and then again in July. One of the ships featured in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies will be docked in Newport.

In addition to the Lady Washington, which served as Captain Jack Sparrows hijacked ship “The Interceptor” in the movie you also will get a chance to see another tall ship…the Hawaiian Chieftain. These “Tall Ships” will be docking at the Oregon Coast in April, and then will return for the month of July.

In addition to Pirates of the Caribbean, the Lady Washington, also has made appearances in “Star Trek: Generations,” and also on a TV show called “Once Upon A Time.”

In addition to tours of the ship, you can also set sail for an amazing coastal cruise. Prices range from $42 to $79 per person. That price includes a chance to help hoist the sails and crew the ships.

(Argh…hoist ye sail maitees or it’s the brig for ya all)  Wow I already have the lingo down, I just don’t know if I have my sea legs

Those who sign up for the cruise will sail for two to three hours and get to see some of the breathtaking views of the Oregon coast.
