Boise residents awoke to the news that downtown traffic would be slower this morning due to a geothermal leak on Capitol Blvd next to the Grove Hotel. I was curious, so I ran downtown to get a few pictures. I took Front street to Capitol, one lane had re-opened  so I was able to drive right by the leak. Honestly, I have never seen anything like it before. The street was all torn up with crews working on clearing some of the debris. Steam slowly arose from a gaping hole that was not there the night before. The coolest thing I saw was the actual water filling the hole. Now, I'm not sure if this water was natural underground water or water from a pipe that had broke but it was pretty much covering the hole in the ground.

I took as many pictures as I could but I could tell the workers weren't exactly welcoming and I did not want to bother them while they were working. Check out the gallery below.
