In the last couple years, the food scene in Boise (and across the Treasure Valley) has been growing.  So much so, that Vogue Magazine has called us " A Growing Culinary Hotspot." 

At, they note that the Northwest has a "surprising new stop" for great food options in our Capitol City and note that we have "creative young chefs, artisans, brewers, and even winemakers."  The Boise chill attitude also made an impression as they shared that Boise "feels like a mini Seattle or Portland, Oregon, minus the culinary pretension."

Highlights of the article include the Indulge Boise Food Tours, which is a series of walks that incorporate stops at Boise's best food locales, along with history and stops at cultural locations and architectural highlights.  The tours are around three hours and you'll clock about 1.5 miles on your FitBit.  They stop at about ten places to sample some of our best foods (including Bacon, Waffle Me Up, Guru Donuts, and more.).

They also highlighted all of the options we have on Eighth Street, which the magazine notes has become Boise's "restaurant row."  They sampled and highlighted Wild Root Cafe & Market with their vegetarian-focused menu.  Juniper, Bittercreek Alehouse, and Red Feather Lounge also go the nod for not just the drinks served but also food options.

They touched on wine tastings, places you need to try for the best in sit down fare, and even gave a nod to The Inn at 500 and The Modern for cool hotel scenes.

People keep discovering how much is going on in the Treasure Valley, and now we can add Vogue to the list who have found out about our little secret.
