Music Theatre of Idaho presents OLIVER!
If you love musicals you're going to love hearing that the Music Theatre of Idaho is proudly presenting OLIVER! It is for one weekend only, the performances run from October 25th through the 27th. The performance will bring the Charles Dickens' beloved novel to life.
The show follows Oliver Twist, a malnourished orphan in a workhouse as he becomes the neglected apprentice of an undertaker. Oliver escapes to Lonfon and finds acceptance through a group of petty thieves lead by the elderly Fagin. Oliver is then caught for theft he didn't commit, Mr. Brownslow then takes him in. Fagin then attempts to capture Oliver back, threatening Oliver's chances of discovering the true love of a family.
To keep with the theme of OLIVER! the Music Theatre of Idaho has teamed up with the Nampa Family Justice Center and the Salvation Army to raise awareness of domestic violence. There will be a booth open prior to every performance with information on domestic violence as well as accepting food donations for the Nampa Salvation Army community center and food pantry.
Performances will be held at the John Brandt Performing Art Center at the Nampa Civic Center on 3rd Street South in Nampa, ID. All performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. with one matinee performance on Saturday the 27th beginning at 1:30 p.m. If you're interested in purchasing tickets now click here.
