I LOVE a good Bloody Mary with a great breakfast chaser. That's why over the next few months, I Mike Kasper will be going in search of the best Bloody Mary breakfast in the Treasure Valley.

Originally, I was going to just search for the Best Bloody Mary, after reading an article in onlyinyourstate about Idaho's best Bloody Marys, but it's not good to drink on an empty stomach. Plus, the Treasure Valley is full of amazing places to eat breakfast.

So after trying a new different place every week or so, as my schedule allows, I will share with you how I liked or loved the Bloody Mary the establishment serves plus how I liked their breakfast.

I also encourage you to share places that you've found an amazing bloody Mary or great breakfast bye emailing me at mike.kasper@townsquaremedia.com. The only prerequisite is the the establishment must serve bloody Mary's AND breakfast, because I am after all searching for the best Bloody Mary breakfast.

My first stop on my Bloody Mary breakfast tour took me to Bardeney in Eagle. The Bloody Mary was made up of Bardenay's Signature vodka. And I like my bloody Mary loaded with as much food and veggies as possible, the Bardeney version came with celery, pickled asparagus, pepperonchini and stuffed olives. This by the way is what I consider the bare minimum for bloody Mary add-ons. I like my Bloody Mary spicy and this bloody Mary was spiced up with Pepper flakes, wasabi and horseradish and it definitely gave you kick in the morning pants with a little heat on the back end too. All in all delicious.

The breakfast is where Bardenay really made points. My wife wanted to try the signature biscuits and gravy and as fate would have it, our server said the kitchen accidentally made an extra order, so she gave it to us. Score! It was delicious, especially the sausage gravy.  After this early morning appetizer, my wife had the French toast and potatoes which she enjoyed and I ordered the chicken bacon Eggs Benedict. The eggs were perfectly done and beautiful to look at, but the chicken was a little overdone and tough.

I maybe should have stuck with the traditional Eggs Benedict, but as you know I'm a sucker for bacon, so that's why I chose the chicken bacon Benedict. I loved being able to try something new, and in the end I definitely cleaned my entire plate.

Overall on the Bloody Mary breakfast scale of 1-10...I give the Bloody Mary a 7.5 and the breakfasts a solid 7.

OK, that's was stop number one.  In the coming weeks, I'm already planning to hit Homestead Bar & Grill in Meridian, Bacon in downtown Boise, Twin peaks, home of the "make your Own Bloody Mary and Omelet Bar and Fork in downtown Boise.

I'm hoping to bring my total to at least 10 different places, so once again if you know of an extraordinary Bloody Mary breakfast place please let me know, so I can try it out and let everyone else know about it too.

And I'm searching the entire Treasure Valley, so if you know of an awesome place in Nampa or Caldwell etc. please drop me an email and tell me about it! My email is mike.kasper@townsquaremedia.com. I look forward to hearing from you.
